AI Disclosure

Silent Dossier uses artificial intelligence in the production of its articles, and this page discloses that use plainly.

A local, self-hosted language model -- not a third-party hosted AI service -- assists with research, fact extraction, drafting, and fact-checking. Source documents are processed on infrastructure Silent Dossier controls rather than sent to an external AI vendor.

The model's role is to accelerate and support the editorial process, not to replace it. A human editorial decision gates every publish: an article does not go live until a human editor has reviewed it against its cited sources and approved it.

The system is deliberately designed to abstain. Where the source material does not clearly support a claim, the pipeline is built to omit or flag that claim rather than assert it with false confidence. This disclosure does not claim the system is perfect -- it claims only what the process actually does: AI-assisted drafting under mandatory human editorial approval.
