Silent Dossier was founded in September 2026 to provide clear, independent analysis of the Gulf, Iran, Egypt and Africa, and of the world powers that shape events there. As coverage of these subjects grows more partisan, we aim to give readers the verified facts and the regional and global context needed to understand them.

Independence & funding

Silent Dossier is independently owned and self-funded. It has no outside investors and no affiliation with any government, political party, movement or ideology.

Any advertising shown on the site is served by third parties and has no influence on what we cover or how we cover it.

Our editorial team

Our Director and Chief Editor, Lucas Vane, is a graduate of King’s College London specialising in military affairs.

Articles are researched, written and edited by the Silent Dossier Editorial Desk and published under the Director and Chief Editor’s byline. Work by outside contributors, if published, is clearly marked as such. Significant updates and corrections remain visible to readers; see Standards for how that process works.
